And We granted to Abraham, Isaac and [from
Isaac] Jacob, both We guided [to the truth]. And
Noah, We guided before; and among his offspring,
David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses and Aaron.
This is how we reward the ones who excel in
doing good. And Zechariah, John, Jesus and Elias,
all were of the righteous. And Ishmael, Elisha,
Jonah and Lot. We preferred all of them over all
people. And [some] among their fathers and their
descendants and their brothers, We chose them
and We guided them to a straight path.
Quran, 6:84-87
Those are the ones whom God has guided.
So from their guidance take an example
[O Muhammad] and say to those who disbelieve
in the Message: “I do not ask you any reward for
conveying this Message [to you]. It is not but a
reminder for the worlds."
Quran, 6:90
Those were the ones upon whom God
bestowed favor from among the prophets
of the descendants of Adam and of those We car-
ried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descen-
dants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom
We guided and chose.
When the verses of [their Lord] the MosMerciful
were recited to them, they fell in prostration and
weeping.
Quran, 19:58
WE HAVE REVEALED TO YOU [O MUHAMMAD],
as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him.
We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the
Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon.
And We gave the Psalms to David.
Some messengers We mentioned their stories to you
and some messengers we did not mention to you.
And God spoke to Moses with direct speech.
We sent messengers as bringers of good tidings and
warners so that people will have no argument against
God after [sending]the messengers. God is ever Exalted
in Might and Wise.
But God bears witness to what He has revealed to you.
He has sent it down with His knowledge, and the angels
bear witness as well. God is Sufficient as Witness.
Those who disbelieve and avert people from the way of
God have certainly gone far astray. Indeed, those who
disbelieve and commit wrong or injustice, God will
never forgive them, nor will He guide them to a path.
Except the path of Hell; they will abide in it forever.
This is [ever] easy to God.
O People!
The Messenger has come to you with the truth from your
Lord, so believe; it is better for you. But if you disbelieve,
then, to God belongs whatever is in the Heavens and in
the Earth. God is ever Knowing and Wise.
O People
of the Scripture!
Do not commit excess in your religion or say about God
except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary,
was but a messenger of God and His Word which He
conveyed to Mary, and a spirit [created at a command]
from Him.
So believe in God and His messengers. And do not say:
“Three”; stop [saying that], it is better for you.
Allah is but one God.
Exalted is He above having a son.
To Him belongs whatever is in the Heavens and
whatever is on the Earth. Allah is All-Sufficient as
Disposer of affairs.
Never would the Messiah disdain to be a servant of
Allah, nor would the angels near to Him. Whoever
disdains His worship and is arrogant, He will gather
them to Himself all together.
Then, as for those who believed and did righteous
deeds, He will give them their rewards in full and grant
them extra from His bounty. But as for those who
disdained and were arrogant, He will punish them with
a painful punishment, and they will not find besides
Allah any protector or helper for themselves.
O People!
There has come to you a conclusive proof from your
Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light.
So those who believe in God and hold fast to Him, He
will admit them to mercy from Himself and bounty
and guide them to Himself on a straight path.

MOSES AND THE PHARAOH IN THE QURAN
Chapter 10, Verses ( 75-92)
The story of Moses was mentioned in many chapters in the Quran. The following verses from chapter 10 (Jonah) shed the light on Moses' supplication to God and how God answered his supplication. The Almighty saved Moses with the children of Israel and drowned Pharaoh and his soldiers.
Then We sent, after them, Moses and Aaron with
Our Signs to Pharaoh and his assembly, but they
behaved arrogantly. They were wicked people.
When the truth came to them from Us, they said:
“Indeed, this is an obvious magic."
Moses said: “Do you say thus about the truth
when it has come to you? Is this magic?
Magicians will not be successful."
They said: “Have you come to us to turn us away
from the faith of our fathers so that you and
your brother may have domination and majesty
in the land? We will not believe you."
And Pharaoh said: “Bring to me every learned
magician. When the magicians came, Moses said
to them: “Throw down whatever magic tools you
have."

When they threw their ropes and sticks, Moses said:
“What you have brought is only magic.
God will expose its worthlessness. God does not amend
the work of corrupters. God will establish the truth by
His words, even if the sinners dislike it."
But no one believed in Moses, except some of the
children of Israel while being fearful that Pharaoh and
his establishment would persecute them.
Indeed, Pharaoh was arrogant on the earth and he was
one of the tyrants who transgressed all bounds.
Moses said: “O my people, if you have believed in God
and submitted to Him, then rely upon Him.
So they said: Upon God we do rely. Our Lord, make us
not objects of trial for the wrongdoing people, and save
us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people."
We inspired to Moses and his brother: “Provide
dwellings for your people in Egypt, make your dwellings
places of worship, establish regular prayers and give glad
tidings to the believers."
Moses called upon God: “Our Lord, You have given
Pharaoh and his establishment splendor and wealth
in the worldly life, our Lord, that they may lead people
astray and turn them from Your way.
Our Lord, destroy their wealth and harden their hearts
so that they will not believe until they see the painful
punishment."

God said: “Your supplication has been answered.
So keep to the straight path and do not follow the
way of those who do not know."
We took the Children of Israel across the sea,
and Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them
in tyranny and enmity until, when drowning
overtook him in the sea,
he said: “I believe that there is no deity except
that in whom the Children of Israel believed, and
I am of the Muslims
(i.e. who submitted to Him)."
God said:" Is it now you declare belief in Me! But
before this you were of the corrupters!
So today
We will save your body so you will be a Sign for
those who succeed you. Indeed, many people are
unaware [unmindful] of Our Signs.

MAURICE BUCAILLE
(1920 - 1998)
cFrench medical doctor and a member of the French Society of Egyptology.
In 1974, the mummy of Ramesses II was sent to Paris for examination and study. Bucaille led a team of French scientists in examining the mummy.
According to Maurice Bucaille, he was more interested in finding whether Ramesses II was pharaoh at the time of Moses and to find out how Ramesses died.
Bucaille's findings surprisingly matched the Quran, 10:92. The body of Pharaoh was saved and mummified after he drowned in the sea. What Bucaille found was a turning point that led him to become interested in studying the Quran.
In 1976, Bucaille published his book, The Bible, The Qur'an and Science, which highlighted the fact the Quran contains no statements contradicting established scientific facts.
He states that in Islam, science and religion have always been "twin sisters". To know more about this interesting discovery, watch the documentary produced by Farouq Abdul Aziz "Moses and the Pharaoh".

And We have not sent you but to all people as a bearer of good news and as a warner, but most people do not know.
